Squish GIF Maker is a GIF maker that runs entirely in your browser. There is no account, no login and no server-side copy of your images. The picture you choose is read into memory, animated and encoded into a GIF on your own device, and it is gone the moment you close the tab. This page explains that in detail, along with the limited data collection that does happen through analytics and advertising.

The service is a static page plus your browser's own canvas and encoding APIs. Nothing in the workflow requires sending your image anywhere.
Your image is loaded as an in-memory object and drawn to a canvas. Neither the original picture nor the generated GIF is written to persistent storage, a database or a server.
Interface preferences — the effect, strength and speed you last chose — are held in memory for the current page only. Nothing is written to local storage or cookies, and the settings return to their defaults when you close or reload the page.
Because no copy of your image is stored anywhere, closing or reloading the page simply forgets it. There is nothing to delete and nothing to recover.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — for example how many visitors load the page and which features are used. Analytics never receives your images or the GIFs you create; events we track are limited to coarse product actions such as generating a GIF.
This site is supported in part by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Advertising scripts are loaded on content pages. They are kept out of the maker itself, so your image is never processed in the same context as an ad unit.
The maker itself writes nothing to cookies, local storage or session storage. The only browser storage on this site comes from the Google Analytics and AdSense scripts described above; you can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver the pages. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Analytics is provided by Google Analytics and advertising by Google AdSense. Beyond these, the page does not contact third-party servers.
Your image is processed locally, which means there is no server copy to leak. That protection cannot extend to a compromised browser: a malicious extension or injected script running in the same page could read what is on screen. Keep your browser and extensions trustworthy.
Squish GIF Maker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since we operate no accounts, we hold no profile data about any user.
